Border Patrol

As early as 1904, U.S Immigration Service patrolled the United States and Mexico border, trying to prevent as many illegal aliens from crossing the border. In 1915, the security of the border was stepped up by having a special group of men, either on horseback, car, or boat patrol the border. This helped increase the amount of the border covered. As Texas being one of the bordering states, they assigned Texas Rangers to help patrol the border which made a significant effect on lowering the amount of illegal immigrants entering the U.S each day.

I personally believe that the efforts to keep illegal immigrants out of the United States needs to increase. With these illegal immigrants also comes the bad drugs, weapons, and the low-paying jobs that they are willing to work. By stepping up our patrol on the border, we can lower the amount of drugs and weapons that are brought over each and every day. We also need to step up our patrol to stop illegal aliens from entering at all because they are hurting our job economy. Any one of those illegal aliens will be willing to work more hours for less money which really lowers the amount of jobs for U.S. Citizens.

The History of Gun Control

Gun Control is one of the biggest debates in the United States today. There are people that believe guns are good and people believe guns are bad. Like every issue, no one will ever agree on one side.

I personally believe gun control will not work in this country. With the gun laws they have right now, many people are still buying, selling, trading, and using guns illegally. So I believe by making the laws harder to own or purchase a gun, many more people will by pass all the laws by buying the guns illegally. Either way, the more laws you have for guns, the more guns that will be bought and sold illegally.

I also believe there shouldn't be gun control on specific types of weapons. For example any type of gun used for hunting any game like partridge which is a shotgun, deer which is some type of rifle should not be put under gun control. Guns like AK47 and Uzzi should definitely had a limited supply for sales. Those two guns are your main guns invovled in drug deals and so forth.

The main Gun law that I do think should be made, is restrictions on buying. If you have any type of criminal record I believe strongly you should not have the right to own a gun. If you can't follow the laws made by our government for everyday life how are you going to follow the laws made for a simple but very deadly weapon?
